Theatrical Production Internship with Newtheatricals
Newtheatricals is offering an intern program. This is an excellent opportunity for tertiary students who wish to gain knowledge and experience in the field of commercial theatre production. Interns with Newtheatricals assist with the production of projects and are given the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and knowledge by working alongside industry professionals.
Internships are offered to tertiary students who are completing degrees relevant to live theatre and performance. They are offered on a 6-month basis and involve part-time work during both the university semester and holiday periods. Successful applicants for this position will ideally be completing a degree within media and communications or the humanities, majoring in theatre, film or performance studies.
Applicants need to have basic computer skills, including a familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Interns will preferably have a current Australian driver’s license and be available 2 days per week during semester and holiday periods. They also need to have great communication skills and a passion for live theatre and performance. Office experience is useful but not a requirement.

3. A contact number for a referee from the applicant’s university or alternate place of study. A reference from a workplace is also useful.
